Have you pulled the ABS trouble codes? The Haynes manual as it shows how to do this and what the codes mean.
As for the location of the ABS speed sensor:
At the front look for a wire running down to the steering knuckle, it's the only wire running there at about the 1am position of the wheel.
At the rear it's at the 9pm position of the wheel.
