One of the '97 MX6s I have looked at seemed to have a fault on the aircon, can someone (John ) advise please?

The battery was almost flat but engine was running at just over idle.

Move temp lever to cold, fan to '1' and press the a/c button.

Engine revs dropped then rose then dropped then rose. Sounded as if the magnetic compressor clutch was clicking on and off.

Could this be because of low battery or and a/c problem, if the latter an idea of how serious.
Cheers
Guys.

PS Looks like the Green MX6 on eBay didn't sell, at least it closed at the first bid level.

The compressor should go on and off, but should be about 30 secs between cycles at least..
It may just want a re-gas... or may have a blockage (re-gas should sort it)

Saying that, it could be a bit of bargaining power to get the price down.. (or get them to sort it for the same price)

Thanks John. The bargaining power was not as great as I would like but I'll let you know tomorrow or Saturday ;)
