i think 4 is too small.
its a 4 for the rear and a 7 for the front which you wont find in a allen key set, you will have to ask for a brake caliper key. hope this helps.

Ooops! When I said 4mm I thought he was talking about adjusting the Ebrake on the rear caliper.

Take the 2 17mm bolts off?
i just need to slide the caliper up to take out the pads and slide new ones in
Meh, 2 bolts 1 bolt same difference different size :)
lol, it sometimes feels like it could be like that at time :D
did we ever find out what it was Mathew?

i believe its that. which makes sense because i had two allen wrench's one a size bigger than the other and both was either too small or too big..
I don't remember needing a special brake caliper key to replace my rear pads. I just used a 4mm Allen I think... Maybe I just have a super Allen kit that includes that size. :)
i need the fronts replaced. why does everyone think its the rear all of a sudden????
Because then I wouldn't be able to help you. (haven't taken apart fronts yet) And providing useless help is much better then no help at all ;)
okay thx
