I was going down the 805 and I pass this new red g35 coupe. I didn't think anything about it until the guy got right on my a$$ doing 80. So there was some clear road ahead and I decide to go. I put it in fourth and just gun it. He follows and I am in the right lane and all of a sudden the lane ends as I'm going by a semi forcing me onto the shoulder and I'm going 130, all the time while this guy is in the far left lane slowly pulling on me. I got up to 145 when I shut it down and the guy was even with me. If we were lined up even I would have lost by a length and a half I think. It was the scariest and dumbest thing I have done. I could feel how loose the road was on the shoulder. I know it was stupid and idiotic, but the urge just over took me. I recomend not doing this. And don't flame too much I realize how stupid it was.

i think most of us have done something similar at one point... but i agree, highway racing on the shoulder is never safe!!

What mods do you have in order to hang with a G35 coupe (auto or 6 speed) on the highway, and get a 165hp car to 145mph?

My guess is going to be that it was the 5-speed auto, but I don't know. My mods are:

ZE Cams
Paeco High perfomance pistons
K&N intake
2.5" custom bent cat-back
Fidanza 9lb flywheel
Stage 1 clutch masters
Reprogrammed ECU
Perfomance plugs and wires

Plus there was a little down hill slope on the 805. Like I said he was slowly pulling on me the hole time, it just seemed close because we ended up even but he started behind me.
