Just got my 2.5L going.
It was a JDM (millinea oil pan who knows where it came from)
Typical KLDE minus oil cooler.
K8 flywheel. (surfaced)
Been a couple years, I don't honestly remember where the
clutch came from.
CAI, headers,test pipe.

Clutch right off is slipping. Everything is new.,
Assuming I bought a stock clutch, I can't find the place I purchased it,
Would it be typical for a new stock clutch to slip with this setup?
Second question.
Go with a Stage 2, or Stage 3?
Not planning on boost, or really anything more than it is now.
The KLZE on the engine stand in the corner of the shop is for another
project. Those things getting hard to find today...

slipping, tells me the pressure plate wasn't done right. drop and check, not easy to re-re but my thought would be to replace it with an mx3 flywheel
Yea I'm wondering if the machine shop screwed up and didn't resurface the edge ring too, was a couple years ago, was pretty sure I remembered they did. Possible just defective flywheel.
Debating on buying an Aluminum flywheel too, and get a new stage 2 clutch.
Never driven a stage 3, at least in a car. Semi's use a porcelin puck dual disc clutches. Now that I think about it.
Easier to drop the tranny in this than my Focus. (got to do that later with blown throwout bearing slave)

About 200 miles put on it this week, no more clutch slipping.
Guess just needed time to bed in...
