nice job Hot Cheese, and good job with MSpaint silverbullet, quite the original idea, could be done with some masking and painting.

In my original idea those would be fully custom made lights, out of fiberglass for example. Stripes would be LED (likely) or neon (less likely) tubes and the whole thing would be covered with clear custom made plexiglass cover.
I've researched a bit and all of this can be done without any really special tools. But I'm afraid it will stay as a daydream for me (ref. lounge thread about minimum wages).

yeah making custom tails will remain a pipe dream for a lot of us, we all have great ideas. Unfortunately a lot of us have deep pockets and short arms!
