[Si[xXx]er]

Ok when I turn on my radio, up goes my antenna, but it squeeks and squeals all the way up and down for that matter. My question is, can i just spray it with some wd-40? or is this gonna run down and get in some place it isnt supposed to be?

I realize this is a dumb question and it doesnt really affect the performance of the antenna or radio, but it is annyoing...any help would be appreciated.
