I was told the reason I lost some power with my new head was the old one was leaking anti freeze into the cyl. and it was acting like a octane boost (nitro), is that true ????????????

BS! antifreeze is over half water. Even if it was true then you would need an equal amount flowing into each cylinder or else you car would run like crap. I would lynch whoever tried to tell me something like that. It is true that antifreeze can give you more power but only in its cooling capacity. Cooler engine = more power.

Make sure the timing is on. Both cam and ignition timing,i.e. Make sure the timing belt is on correctly. Maybe off a tooth? Where in NC are you?
