i thought about getting a test pipe. but right now i have next to NO raspiness (PS headers, OEM cat, 2.5" pipe w/no resonator, 20" Bullet Performance muff w/ dual outs) and i dont want any raspiness. my exhaust is VERY DEEP and only a slight zing above 4500rpm, under full throttle. and thats mostly drowned out by the deepness. however, its still kinda loud in general. so here's my idea:

take a 14" or 16" resonator (2.5") and weld on flanges & whatever small extensions are needed. pop it in where the cat is.
this should in theory, make the car sound even better than with a cat since it'll be a lil bit quieter & less raspy.

what do u guys think? in general & what do u think it'll do to the volume? quieter or louder?
i'm not 100% sure how much volume the cat reduces.
and does anyone have a 2.5" resonator they dont want? or know of a good inexpensive one to try this with? one thats least raspy.

so your feedback is very welcomed.
thanks
