Anyone familiar wit this kind of sub setup? I'm gonna build one to my 2nd gen MX-6... I've heard it is the best option for Sound Quality, but I have never been able to listen a car which has that kind of setup... If anyone has heard AM subs, I would be glad to hear about your experiences.

They've sort of faded out over the last few years. Mostly they were designed for subs that required a large box. It was mounted behind the sub and most often run to the outside of the car to create a fake chamber for the sub. since many subs are now made to be used in small airspace boxes there is not as much need for the membranes any more.
