On the gear selector for your autobox you shold have 2 buttons.. the one you need to press to move the selector, and below that should be the hold button. The fact thats its flashing does not mean you have to turn it off, its indicating a problem that needs to be investigated. Carry out the code retrieval instructions in that thread i posted, and see if you have any codes you can tell us about.

here's the thing,the stock selector knob has been removed there is no hold button on the accessory knob...and I tried the diagnostic and there seems to be no wire for the "TAT" so tommorrow we go to the trans shop.

Last time i had problem with the hold light flashing, was because the TPS (throttle position sensor) plug wasn't right.
