Jeez...

The bushing on my 93 LS V6 atx came out for some reason (how I dont know). In order to replace it I have to buy a whole new transmission shift cable since the mazda dealership doesnt stock a $0.25 lousy piece of rubber. So it's going to run me into $45...


I tried the ford dealership to see if they have it seperately on a Probe, but its the same thing, only the cable costs $100+ for that car.

Has anybody else had this problem? Anybody know of an equivalent part I can substitute?

Never heard of it. I would go to a junkyard, or Used Auto Parts Recycler as they are called. You can probably get the whole cable for $5 and they will let you pull it.
