im almost done with my atx to mtx swap. the atx axles and intermediate shaft are the tripod style or knuckle whatever you call it. the ones i got for the swap are spline except the driver side axle is knuckle. my question is can i use the knuckle ones off the atx instead of using the mtx spline ones? they look almost identical but the axle on the pass side has this big round thing that is where the interm. shaft connects. i would just use the mtx ones but if i do i have to wait til monday for my dad to take the atx ones to work and get the hubs off, the bolts are on so tight. let me know if i can use them, thanks.

I am not sure I understand your problem - Are you having trouble removing the pass. side outer axle or are you having trouble removing the bracket that holds the int. shaft to the block? You should be using all of the mtx stuff.

well the hub bolts will not come off, and we didnt want to wait til monday to take it to his work and get them out. the axles look the same there is even people using atx axles on theres. i havent put the axles on yet thats next.

On the pass. side, you can probably do it. You are still using the mtx int. shaft and as long as they will go together, I would try it if that were the case.
