hey Jduffett, welcome back dude......i missed having a fellow mazda owner to chat with since claeren left then came back and now drives an evil car i gave up on the whole calgary sceen.
how is the cronos? I was going to ask when should I do that tranny fluid change again, it was fun...i have learned alot since then and am now onto changing my own oil..whoooo....actually i have done an engine swap, entire exhause, calipers and completely killed a 96 mint mx6 ls......i mean gutted it and then cut the frame to pieces with a torch and sent it to the recyclers.....
anyways hope your stay here is enjoyable and give me a call sometime 371-2222 so we and hondaboy can go for a beer.

Kind of crazy how you got all involved in that stuff Chris.... I still have to try changing my oil sometime, mind you now i am going to the dealer only... until my WARRANTY wears out!!! DAMN!

Cronos, well, I guess we'll have to just call it a 626 now because I ditched the Cronos badge. It's good. Since the last time we met it has been lowered, I've bored the throttle body, made my own custom short throw shifter, thrown a 17.5mm sway bar on it, plus various other odds and ends. I had some guy do a pretty crappy job painting it, but it does look better than it did, despite the fact that someone decided to walk right across the top of it the day before I left St. John's. Up to 190k now, and running better than ever. I ran four autocrosses in it the past summer. And in terms of maintenance I've moved on from tranny fluid changes... }) Since then I've changed the water pump and timing belt, cv axles, rear wheel bearing, control arms, brake lines....anythingcanada said:

I'm probably gonna be pretty busy this week--my buddy just bought an '87 Jetta as a beater that we're trying to get on the road asap. I'll give you a call either the weekend or early next week. I'd give you my number but I can't recall the one here at the moment and my cell had an unfortunate accident. I'll PM you guys my number when I get my cell fixed. Oh, and Claeren, hockey, nfl, etc. usually aren't my thing (exception: playoffs, superbowl, etc), but add beer into the mix and I'm up for pretty much anything!

actually i havent put in my ze yet, i have one, with the curved neck IM...not the pretty one that everyone has, anyway I can get them for about 600-800 canadian plus ECU. I did a swap on a probe that was killed in an accident(he flipped it 12 times) and dropped it into a nice local mx6. I helped as much as i could so I could find out how to do a ze bymyself.
I am not sure if I want to do the ze, it is a real pain, because of all the things that have to be done for 35hp, not sure if if is worth it or not, i am working on a single turbo setup for the extra kl03 that I have, that will be done by March hopefully.
if you do need any parts for the 626 let me know i might have a few things that would fit from that mx6 we cut up.
yeah i sort of quit drinking to save money until my house is finished in March.
