My mom offered to pay for a whole new brake system after i drove her back from work this weekend and it took forever to stop. She got scared for my life etc but i kind of got the hang of driving with bad brakes. Went to nopionline.com and bought new brembo vented rotors since they havent been changed for like 12 years, brake pads, and hesitated whether or not to get brake line. Exactly what do they do? should i replace the ones i have that are probably poop?

It's been covered before.

SS brake lines do not flex and expand under the temperature of brake fluid like rubber lines do. This gives a better pedal feel and prevents brake fade if you are into doing alot of hard braking.

Chances are, you do not have any use whatsoever for them. If your lines are old, then you may want to replace them anyway.
