hey folks,

i recently got my 6 and it runs fine, but when i brake, i hear
some strange noise (like "clack") from the rear right brake.
the car brakes fine, but i just hate that noise.

anyone have an idea what it could be?

thanx

it sounds like youve got something wrong with your brakes......:E

it it a clack clack clack or is it just one clack? if its just one, id think it would probally be your caliper unless your rotors are corroded. if its several, its probally your rotors are warped.

i get a good deal on brand new "raybestos allsafe rotors", ill sell them for $25 a piece shipped anywhere in the lower 48, or $45 for 2, $85 for all 4.

suggested retail price on them is ~$35 for the rears and ~$50 for the fronts.

i felt a great improvement by replacing my stock rotors with these, but thats probally just because my stock ones were old.

PM me if interested.

i just noticed youve got the i4 so that doesnt nessesarily tell wether you have disk or drum rears..... if youve got drums the info in the two previous replies, doesnt apply to you.

idk much about drum brakes so if thats what youve got, idk what to tell you.

Aussomea has you on the right track. Just a suggestion for down the road. I bought KVR cross drilled rotors when I replaced mine. They made a major difference. They are only about $65 a piece. I also added carbon fiber pads. Good luck with the noise.
