I am not sure if this is a common problem or if anyone has run across this. In my austin healies this happens a lot and you can take apart the switches and then they usually will work. With ths being said...

Once in a while when I turn on my birghts the headlights go out, this is extremely annoying. I was wondering if anyone has had this happen. Otherwise someone that has had one out, are there contacts that could be causing this in the switch? or should i be looking somewhere else. It hasnt done it for a while but I want to make sure it does not hapen again. Thanks. ALso this is on a 96 pgt.

Could be a short in the high beam circuit. I'd check the wires first and then the multifunction switch.

If it also happens when u hit bumps it could be a loose connection.
It doesnt do it with bumps what so ever, if the brights turn on they stay on but when I am driving and I flip the brights on the lights go out and if i flip the switch on and off they will eventually turn on the brights and they will not go out until I turn the dims back on then try turning the rights back on.
