I am thinking about parting the car out and I would like to see if there is anyone seriouslly interested in buiying a built motor for a turbo project.

Heres the rundown. The built longblock only has 250 miles on it!!!!

What I put into it
$760 - 8.5-1 Diamond forged pistons with ceramic top coat and moly skirt coat.
$430 - H beam forged rods
$3000 - Motor Build

$600 - MSnS extra PnP v3.0, coilpack control, fan control.
$450 - Southbend Stage 4 OFE Clutch
$300 - Unorthodox 9lb Flywheel
$450 - Deatchwerks 555cc Injectors
$100 - Modified KL Fuel Rails
$130 - Gutted KL03 Manifold

$6220 - Grand total invested

Heres what I want to get out of it Prices are shipped

$2500 obo - Built Long block, rods, pistons, heads. NO manifolds or valve covers, trans, clutch, flywheel, injectors, MS.

$400 obo - Megasquirt setup
$300 - Clutch (less than 750 miles)
$200 - Flywheel (less than 750 miles)
$300 - Injectors with fuel rails and connectors
$ 100 - Gutted Manifold and VC's Powdercoated

$3800 - Prospective return, and after shipping will be more near 40% of invested value.

Or I am willing to entertain offers is someone whats the whole shabang, motor clutch, ms, etc all in one big package.

Also willing to entertain offers on motor + turbokit if interested. PM for info on turbo kit or I can make another post or add to this one.

Some of you may ask about the turbo kit parts, but I WILL NOT PART THE REST OF THE CAR UNTIL THE MOTOR IS SOLD!!!

Yep, I got offers on almost all the engine parts except the long block. I wish I woulda held off on the build and blew my stock motor up first. Then I could have easily parted the car.

As of right now it looks like I will be keeping it but I will be gone from march 14th for 4-6 weeks so after I get back from that trip it will be the deciding moments of what to do, keep it or part it and take the hit on the motor.

sure why not. Fabricate some motor mounts and adapt the rx7 trans? i hear the rx7 trans prety much mounts on the KL? The KL block has plenty of threaded holes on each side to facilitate mounting in RWD

either way the point is that anything is possible :)

That was my goal but I know it needs some extensive tuning to get to that point since radar was blowing spark at 400 hp.

Need to get coilpacks in before that happens too.

Im thinking nate is at the same point that I am also at. Loves the car, likes driving it, but doesnt have time for it. I got mine when I was 18, and its been a project ever since. Now Im older and it just seems like there are so many other things to be doing besides having a fast car.
I dont owe anything on mine, wich is why Ill never sell it unless I have to. But I have been parting with some stuff on it that just isnt really useful to me
I made it a goal that im going to drive mine every chance I can this summer. No more worrying about stuff happening

That is a factor to. I travel so much for work that when I am at home I like to just chill. I feel like working on the car is just as stressful as work and then its like I never even have a day off. Thats why it has say for the last 2-3 years so much actually. I just dont have time for it. We will see what happens in a few months. Im not in any trouble financially, I just would like a few other toys that I cant afford because of this car :)

RX7 trans bolts up to the 929 frame and the stock JE-ZE in the 929S, JC body is what they call it I believe.

We got ours at the same age.

I know exactly how you guys feel though. The mx6 has become a huge project. I am at the point now where there is no point in getting rid of it but I don't enjoy driving it because it's rather slow for the money I have into it. The good side is it already has everything I need to make it much faster aside from the turbo. I should be able to make 300whp with a small/inexpensive turbo and just beat up my built motor for a while. Hopefully I can sell the parts I have up for sale right now and make some extra cash. How much hp can I make on millenia injectors?

I bought a second car that I know won't be fast and I am definitely not touching the motor in this one. All it needs is a drop and some new wheels.

Last I heard was ~300whp, I would go with the modded rail and Nissan injectors if you don't already own a set of S injectors. I invested some money on a set of S injectors couple years back, got it all cleaned and flow tested, and now I don't know what to do with them, they are still in the bag when I got them back from cleaning, but I'm going with the Nissan route with the modded rail group buy. Thinking about selling them but they don't worth as much as it used to.
