my friend bought a 6 2 weeks ago, and his oil level drops a lot, hes been driving for 2 weeks and lost a liter or something of oil, can this be fixed??...gaskets maybe?? its a 95 ls with 150 000 km

mine loses a little but mechanic said its normal...if u guys can help id appreciate it thanks

A very common problem is leaking from the rear valve cover gaskets. Hopefully it's not, they're very expensive to fix unless your friend is able to do it himself. Try looking around to see if it's coming from somewhre else before you take it somewhere though. Also check to make sure it's not something little, like a loose oil filter, or the bolt to the oil pan not on all the way.

its really not hard to do. just take off your intake manifold and valve cover bolts. its an expensive job to do if you pay someone to do it. you can probably take all that off in like 30 minutes for your first time

With my VCGs leaking it "burnt" oil. The oil pooled in the plugs wells and burnt as the engine heated up...
