Ok. I purchased a caliper rebuild kit for like $10 and figured I give this a shot before replacing the caliper. Have any of you ever used a rebuild kit? Is this a difficault process? Thanx alot!

I do know that the shop manual shows a step by step on how to do this. If you don't already have one, why not get one now with some of the money you are saving on rebuilding this caliper yourself.

I actually did this once on a corolla GTS's rear calipers some time ago... It wasn't too hard with the help of a Haynes manual. You only need a tiny screwdriver to replace the seals and small fingers! The only hard thing was to fit the piston boot. Be sure also to check for pitting on the piston and inside the cylinder before you put it back togetter. If there is some, you can use scotchbrite to remove it, but if it's too deep, it might not be worth rebuilding...
I got my kit directly from Toyota and it lasted 4 years before the calipers seized again. Good luck!
