Cam belt in the north east

Any reputable garage that can deal with performance cars should be able to help though. If you take it to Mazda you're looking at a few hundred quid easily...

When I had mine done at a mazda dealer it was about £350 - £400.. As far as Im aware it's an engine out job, so nobody will bereally cheap

Cheers for the answers. From what I've read it's just one side of the engine down rather than the whole engine out. If I had the time and tools I'd do it myself, at least that way I'd know it was done properly. As it is I no longer have the time that I used to, nor the tools - my eldest son seems to have run off and lost them all.

I'm surprised that there aren't any more members up here though. I've counted 4 or 5 mx6's in Hull alone, plus mine. Seen another in Leeds (must work round the White Rose Centre somwehere - normal red) and one somwhere round the Middlesbrough area (metallic silver I think).

Pete, you're right... the engine doesn't come out..

I have the complete manuals, and the relevent pages are available for email.. although it's a few mb's.

If you want them, just ask..

It is pretty time consuming, and there are a couple of tricky bits.

Sure thing, I'll see what I can do. Only thing is I doon't get round Hull much at this time. Work has forced me northwards for the last year. I'll try round the weekend.
