well after driving her today out of now where she just shut off, so as i started her back up she started up like nothin, but the the idle suddenly drops and she shuts off, the only way she stays on is if i keep my foot on the gas pedal, as i'm driving if i hit the gas pedal it will pick up and run hard but once i let go of the gas pedal she just shuts right off, what could this be because i'm lost and have no clue:confused:

Well...it sounds a lot like what happens to me. It doesn't shut off all the time, but it idles roughly, sometimes normal, other times it goes up and down between ~200 and 600 rpms. If that's what happens to you, my guess would be the EGR valve.

This happens intermittently to me as well, I need to fully press the gas in order for it to move and not stall right after starting it and putting it into gear sometimes (while warm). Is this also caused by the same valve?

That doesn't sound like what I'm having a problem with. It doesn't stall when I put it in gear...although it is easier to stall when I take off. Are you getting a CEL? You can check it with paper clips, or go to an Autozone and they will do it too.

I think my problem was a low idle. I used a paperclip and adjusted the idle screw so its seems to be ok now. For some reason this one Autozone I went to said they couldn't check the CEL for this car.

They were being lazy/stupid.

There are plenty of guides here and elsewhere on the net to help you check the diagnostic codes. Haynes manual has it also. I would bet you are masking another problem by playing with the idle screw...
