car won't start intermittenly

This happened to me 2 times already in a month. I put the car into neutral and it starts without a problem. But in park, I don't even hear the starter cranking over the motor.

Is the wire to the starter control by any thing? Does anyone have a clue?

P.S.
Anyone in Toronto on this forum?

I guess you have an automatic trans. If your car always start on neutral but not in park, then more than likely, your neutral switch is bad. It is on top of your tranny being held by 2 screws, a nut on the shaft and two electrical connectors underneath your battery. There's an alignment hole on that neutral switch before you install it. Any more problem, let us know. Good luck.

i got the same problem in mine with my auto. just wiggle the shifter and it does the trick on mine. almost like a bad connection, but like you said only in park.
