Scam? I dunno. I bet you it takes a lot of work to make a big operation like that. I dont think their idea is "lets scam some people" but rather trying to make a product for less money. Obviously quality suffers but you get what you pay for. This holds true with many products that come from china. From tools, to eating utensils.

Evo the friend that bought that turbo sold it to another one of my friends because he didnt trust it. haha.

down2turbo says.....no there are no refunds the auction clearly states all sales are finally the warranty means if there is a problem due to manfactures defects we will fix it and send it back do you think if you buy a new car that if you have a problem with it that the warranty means you will get your money back sorry I wish things did work that way

the turbo is by no means operational. you have sold MANY turbos to MANY customers on ebay with a 0 success rate in functionality to my knowledge. be prepared to deal with this.

P.S. if i purchased a car on a lot, i would get to test drive it first. this turbo is nothing more than a cheap non functional model of a real one. dont try and make a comparison with legitimate sales.

I hope this place is legit.. I had wanted to buy a t3 from them for so long cause of their great prices. http://www.turbocalculator.com/sale-garrett.php They range in price, and all together are VERY cheap. They at least use the words Garret in their heading. Also, they do have turbos that go up to $4000. I don't think they'd sell a $4000 phony (hopefully) What do you guys think? They do say remanufactured on the T3's... which is fine, I think that sounds like just a good deal!

It's too bad that they are ripping you off like that. I've always heard good things about the guys in buhl. There is a turbo shop in buhl, but this may be someone that works there ripping people off. My home town is just 30 min away from there(Tuscaloosa) just to give you an idea of where they are. I should call up there and ask them what the deal is.

Good to hear. How must boost?

I think my friends will hold together because he's going to drive it for awhile before boosting and let the turbo shaft seat in the bearings and go through some heat cycling.

turbo works awsome.....boost really hard.....no boost controller on it yet but boost up to 12 fast on the stock gauge and stays there.....im gonna get a boost gauge in tomorrow and hold off awhile before i put the controller on....i had the exhaut shop do my downpipe and they didnt weld the o2 bung so the o2 isnt even hooked up so i dont even wanna push it that hard....also im not sure if the turbo is getting enough oil or not but what do i know...i know the waste gate needs to be fixed cus its hitting the block cus i didnt test fit it the 2nd time i welded the outlet flange on so it leaks some between the block and the manifold..i think im just gonna get an external waste gate.....also my exhaust manifold i bought a kit for the 2.2 f2t and had it welded up....its not that great of a job but it got the job done and i havnt had any real major problems like oil leaks or coolent......work fine cant wait to get it tuned........also heres some pics of my car http://www.cardomain.com/id/riddinclean91pgt

its making a loud hone type sound like a old school medic car theres no cracks in the housings at all no shaft play just being weird so im not gonna take any risks plus im selling the car to someone in 2 weeks...and buying a brand new celica this week
