Christmas Meet?

Hey everyone - long time no see?

I was wondering if we could try and get some form of Christmas meeting happening for the remaining members of this site? It seems to have got very quiet recently, and I'd like to try and revive some of the old spirit.

Any suggestions for a time and place?

I'll keep me eye on this Ben... dont have a 6 no more, but happy to meet up with peeps...

And i agree.. the place is getting a little sparse lately ..

a christmas meet would be good, although i do think most members are spaced out quite a bit on this site, so finding a good location would be a problem.

Ok - it's short notice but I'm going to get something organised. I think we should go bowling somewhere for an evening. I'm based in Kettering and am quite happy to drive a fair distance to get somewhere mutually beneficial.

Northampton is often a good place to go as its smack bang in the middle of the country and everyone can usually get there without too much hassle.

I also know that Northampton has a nice bowling alley at Sixfields - especially when the glow gets going! HAHA!

Be nice to see a load of sixes parked up in the car park, along with occaisional Chavalier turbo and others....(Sorry Oddy had to be done.)

Which side of Christmas shall we do this?

This is a great bowling alley and it's closer for all our many " West Country " and " South of London " owners .......

To be honest Paula I think that one would be a nightmare for most people to get to - anywhere near London = evil in my eyes. Lol!

As I said, I'm happy to go further, but not London or its Satellites as that = queues and bad traffic.

If anyone else is interested and can commit, suggest dates now and get things moving or forever hold yer peace.

OK Ben you are on BUT I think that it will have to be after Christmas now.

Northampton is good for me providing there is no salt on the roads and it's dry ......

Indeed - I agree that after christmass it will have to be.

any ideas on dates for this? are we looking for a weekend or weekday?

its should be good to get a few together.

I'm thinking a weekend meet would be the best for this. Thats just my assumption though. And almost definitely early evening if we want to make a night of it, and give everyone time to get there and back reasonably.

or if someone is coming from near here, can I have a lift please and we will share the fuel cost .....

Nice idea, but a tad close to New Years and the whole 'I'm too wasted to drive' scenario.
