I had my civic sts installed today, but the engagement from first to second feels a little wierd. I am not complaining about the throw, because its nice and short, but the engagement from first to second just feels too loose for my taste. So loose that sometimes i miss second gear altogether. I guess if i bought the bushings from rr racing, it would feel a little more solid, but what exactly are they, and where would they be installed?

buy 2 smaller washers to put on the bolt at the bottom of the shifter to balance it out instead of the single HUGE washer...and buy some GM sychromesh...30 bucks for 3 quarts...this will help a whole lot, worked for me...i havent felt the need for bushings yet...TP

Yah, I need to revise that How To about the other bushing. It definately helps, but having one bushing shouldn't effect your 2nd gear engagement.

That's more than likely your tranny in need of some GM Synchromesh. Go and spread the good word, it's all about GM Synchromesh.
