Does anyone have an opinion on Clarion SRC5753 plate speakers? I like the idea of a drop in replacement for the stock speakers and the fact that these are actually a separate mid and tweet. See them here:

Let me first say, MAN THOSE ARE NICE SPEAKERS!!
Your HU will power them sufficiently, maybe a little lacking. But, an amp would greatly increase the QUALITY of the sound. It would be clearer and more precise. As far a the faceplate goes, contact the manufacturer. You will probably be able to get a replacement for about $75-$100.

Tristan - thanks for the advice. Sounds like the speakers would be the way to go - I've been thinking about a separate amp, knowing that I would probably need it to take full advantage of the speakers but was looking for better speakers that would work with what I have now and be good enough so if I do upgrade to an amp, I won't have to change speakers again. Thanks for the help!
