I am new to the mazda so please bear with me. I just bought an 88 mx6 gt turbo and the clutch won't return from the floor board. I have tried to adjust the sping on the peddle itself but nothing happens. I don't know what else to do accept change out the whole clutch system. if anyone can please notify me a.s.a.p. thank you
check the clutch master cylinder for fluid or leaks, and the slave cylinder for leaks, if there is no fluid then there is no pressure to the pedal to push it back towards you.
Your clutch is hydraulically operated (uses fluid.) The clutch slave cylinder has failed. Check your clutch fluid (resevoir next to brake fluid), it's probably empty. You'll need to take it to the shop to have the slave cylinder replaced and the clutch hydraulic system bled of air with a professional power bleeder. You could replace the slave cylinder yourself but it will be a considerable amount of work bleeding it as it is probably completely full of air right now.
