I couldn't delete a post in the lounge today. But only once, I did it earlier in the day too...weird. Anyone else having that problem? Is this normal, or is it just me?

Regular members can't delete the first post in a thread. Aside from that, you should be able to...

What thread are you talking about? I want to make fun of the post that you don't want shown.

It's just you..
J/K.. I actually changed the permissions today so that people can not delete thier own posts anymore.
We were having trouble with people covering thier tracks by cursing someone out then deleting the post.
You can still edit your own posts but no longer delete them.

If you need something deleted, just ask a mod to do it.

Yep..but there would be a record that they posted and a note that they edited the post.

In the new software we will be upgrading to, it will store a copy of the original unedited posts so moderators could see what was originally posted. It will even store deleted posts, they just wont be visible.

Wow, cool. I also just remembered that even if they do edit there post, if someone quoted them that it will still show up. So good call. I can't wait to see the software upgrade.
