How can I determine if I need to replace my catalytic converter? What are some of the tell-tale signs? Smell? Sound? Look? What should I look for? And also, what determines when I should either turn or replace my rotors? Thanks for the help!
The rotor ??, you will feel a vibrating when you press the break down. you might be able to feel them if they are really bad, it will have a grove on it. You can only turn them so for or they will be out of spec. some body on here will be able to tell you that spec. if i find it will post it.
cat.? the cat will be a black color and maybe tore up inside the cat. it is a honey comb material in there and if your O2sensors go bad then it will mess up the cat. if the honey comb stuff become loose and gets blown through the pipe you will feel a difference in power(you will lose power) i did when mine got bad. if you are putting on an exhaust change the cat. too. later
