Sorry to hear about the car, that sucks. But when I was doing stuff to my car (putting in the trans), my stepfather bled my brakes, he noticed that there were two resivoirs. Bleeding both of them out seemed to help the pedal alot, i don't quite know the function as my shop manual is still on order, but it's something to look into....
