I would say the best crussing rev is between 3200-4000 rpms.
This ususally equates to around 75-80 mph on the freeway.
It is the perfect range for me since passing would be done slightly above the 4000rpm mark...right smack in the "sweet spot" of the V6. Any lower speed create a sense of idling and anything faster feels rushed to me. My friends are always amazed at the ease at which I can tackle a steep moutain road with the 6, an easiness I don't feel in my Lexus nor my previous Rx7. An amazingly forgiving and bright crusing engine that KL is.
in my 4cyl it likes to around 90-95. ussally going the speed limit, mixed city and highway driving i get 22-25 mgp. on a road trip a couple weeks ago, i got 30 mpg maintaining 90-95. my v6 liked around 95-105 but it still always got 20-22mpg no matter how i drove it.
