Anybody help me out with these??....how much??....labour charges??....degree of difficulty?? etc. Also how long can you leave them once you get the knocking on full lock??
Appreciate any help

Umm, you can leave them until they snap in two and your car will no longer transfer rotational energy into linear motion :)

Seriously, I wouldn't let it go TOO long. It was always quite annoying to me.

The job is pretty straight forward if you follow a workshop manual, although it's not really necessary. Just everything is torqued down quite a bit. You gotta retorque it properly (atleast I would strongly advise it).
