Damp weather hesitation...

I've been having a problem with my '94 626 ever since I installed the K & N FIPK.

When I start my car on foggy, misty, rainy mornings and start to drive away, it hesitates a lot until I get on the highway a few miles away (engine warmed up).

This only happens after first start in the morning and when it's wet out.

The K & N filter is mounted to the MAF where the airbox used to be.

Any ideas why it hesitates like this? Is it bad for the engine?

Thanks

From the symptoms it sounds like your gasket on the distributor may have gone, letting moister into the ditsy. when it heats up, the moisture evaporates, no more problem. try checking that, you can get a new gasket for around $10 from a mazda dealer.
