Those of you who make the occasional mistake and double-post or have wanted to retract something you've said, may have noticed that you can't delete a post any more...
For legal reasons, all posts have to be kept for posterity, but with the current board software this is not possible. The next version will apparently have a recycle bin where all deleted posts will end up automatically.
So, until the site is upgraded to the next software version, TPTB have decided to instigate a manual system which involves a Forum Mod splitting unwanted posts to a new thread, then moving that thread to the Recycle Bin.
So, if you want a post (of your own) deleted, please PM one of the UK Mods and they'll arrange it - just don't abuse it, remember, you can always 'edit' a post instead...
