Differences in trailing links?

537 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  mlp-mx6
Apparently there are 3 different trailing links for the Turbo MX-6. Are there any issues with interchange here? Wonder what the differences are - maybe bushing specs? Hard to imagine the length of the links would be different, unless the rear spindle was different too - but the only difference listed for that part is ABS vs. non-ABS.

Anyone have any insight here? The only differences are the first 4 characters - the last 6 match across the board.

According to the Mazda parts catalog, here are the part numbers:

Link, Trailing
1988-89
w/Turbo
To 6-27-88 R KA24-28-200 L KA24-28-250
From 6-27-88 R KA10-28-200 L KA10-28-250
w/o Turbo R KA24-28-200 L KA24-28-250
1990-92
w/Turbo R KA39-28-200 L KA39-28-250
w/o Turbo R KA31-28-200 L KA31-28-250

The trailing arms you're talking about, correct?

If so, then I dont think there is any difference. The only difference my parts catalogue lists are the 88-89 and 90-92 trailing links as being different, but personally, ive seen both and never saw a difference between them:shrug:
I was speaking of the trailing arms/links. Not the lateral links. I used the term "trailing links" because the Mazda collision guide called them trailing links.
