im swaping my gt motor in to a dx. my question is do i have to swap out the entire wiring harness in the engine bay or just the part that comes from the ecu. i have one connector that does not match up in the driverside corner by the fire wall. the dx harness has a rectangular connector that is black on the outside and green on the inside. the harness from the gt has a white square connector with less wires then the dx. can i some how wire them into each other or do i have to swap the whole harness that runs along the driver side down to the front?

thanks,

kelly

What year is the dx? If it's not an 88-89 you'll have issues using some of the harnesses. As the previous poster noted, you could just change all of the harnesses if you run into too many problems. I would recommend that you buy a mazda workshop manual to get the wiring diagrams. You might want to even buy two if the dx is a 90-92.
