It's both.

I don't know about the e-spec, but for the J-Spec, you have to cut and move the radiator braket that holds it to the body of the car. Only then will you be able to properly mount the ligths in.

As far as the wiring, as you can see by th epicture below, the J-spec lights have 3 wire harneses for 3 bulbs. With the one that is replacing th ecorner, you have to find a way to relocate the turnsignals or parking light.

It's not tough. but it's definitely doable.
