I'm doing my entire exhaust system sometime soon, as I ordered some eBay SSAC Headers, Test Pipe, and a Greddy EVO2 catback is on its way :)

I figure while I'm there I may as well get rid of my EGR. Is there anything special I need to do? I need a blockoff plate right? Where can I get one?

Why do you want to disable your EGR?

mainly just for another project. no particular reason really.

Just block the bugger off as has been mentioned. But I can almost swear that I'm getting worse mileage with it off than I was with it on

I don't really see why you don't want it. It's an NOx emissions-reducer and it doesn't affect WOT power in any way (it's turned off at WOT and idle.)

:shrug:

eh i guess i'll leave it on. i have too much to do as it is anyway :jump: after i install my exhaust i need to replace my cv axle, and i figure while i'm there i may as well replace my clutch with a stage 1. then after THAT i need a new front bumper, quarter panels, then start piecing my lip kit together. bleh. damn money pits!
