the stock timing automatically adjusts itself so if your looking for something to control your timing/ignition and fuel mega-squirt is your best option, however might i sugest a suplimentary injector setup, sds eic or greddy rebic IV units are very easy to install (sds more so than the greddy unit, trust me i know i am currently running a rebic IV) and its as easy to adjust as the turn of a couple of knobs, then just get on the dyno and fine tune it or get a wide band O2 and tune it yourself on the fly ( i would highly sugest going with the wide band O2 it was the best investment ive made to date!) either way this route is usually rather cheep, i got my entire Greddy setup with 2 550cc injectors and installation instructions used for 110$ shipped, my air fuel when i dynod looked great. You can probably find these units used on ebay for around $150 or so depending on the supply and demand. Oh and one more note if you do decide to go with an sds or Greddy unit you can upgrade your ignition to an msd 6al, sci or comprable unit fairly cheaply aswell ( I think my sci+moded disty cap+blaster 2 coil+connecting wire=around $200) good luck man...Bo0sted_Rafi said:i got some info about megasquirt, but, im looking something easy to install. MSefi its a good option, but i dont have time for that!!
Thanks, im looking info about Emanage, because, i need to know if that piggy, can control timming with our stock distributor.
I won't flame you, but I'll save you the hassle of being flamed.The_Evil_Demon said:
well that's a big blow... lolDrBrown said:My piston/rod combo was ~$1,200 after shipping. But the new oil pump, head gaskets, seals, ze heads & cams, rod and crank bearings etc etc... it all added up and was somewhere around $2500 for the whole motor. IMO it wasnt worth it because its still a fwd probe that cant get traction beyond 300whp. Do yourself a favor and dont boost your car.
