After discovering the loud noise from my engine compartment (thanks MIKE94PGT), I noticed that the inside of my throttle body was covered with a thin film of black... not good. My MX-6 has the prone to carbon intake, but what can I do to clean up the mess inside the manifold itself (yes I read Bradbury instructions) but I don't know if that will help with the manifold itself.

This brings me to my question. Does anyone know of a place (grease monkey, midas, etc..) offers any engine flush that works well and how much do they cost. I am in Kansas so I need some sort of national chain to go to. Thanks in advance, Matt

I know that Mazda can do a fuel system flush and also jiffy lube if it is available in your neck of the woods. they cost from 80-100 dollars, I have never done it, but I think that Julian's methods of decarbing the engine has been proven effective, I have done it my mx-6, think about it, because a lot of carbon came out of the exhaust.
