I have a question on the installation of the mount next to the timing belt. Do i just jack the motor up a little to take the loading and remove and install the new. What about rotaion, will the motor fall back or forward a little?
Strangely enough I just dun this job on my brothers car last weekend.
We used a trolley jack…
I had the same reservations as you, so as we jacked it up we had it hitched up to a beam in my car port roof.
But it didn’t even try to move.
I must say I felt better knowing it was hitched up thew.
You could use any thing sturdy, Pergola, Car port beam or maybe even an engine hoist, Nah to sensible…
