its no different to having in out the other end......same same, it makes 260-270hp at the wheels.
also has injectors in the air box now. yager performance can make an engine and send it anywhere.
can also do you a who package "lownslow"
cant wait to post the building of my car, so glad i found this thread.
Very upset, cant run the 13"x7" wheels.
dont want to go to the hassle of choping up a diff so i have to get wheels made.
need a fwd type with a gay offset.
also means i may not be able to use superlites.
Im stressing a little, im starting work on the car on monday night, have 12 days to totally complete it, engine, box, tunnel, diff, brakes, suspension, wheels, fuel tank, gaurds, not to mension the wireing and tunning of the motor, and getting the motor built ARHHHHHHHHHH
how is your diff coming along lownslow

WOW! thats the most insane challenge iv heard in a while! or though at the moment I'm re shelling a mates written off show car mk2 cortina with a six week deadline for his weeding and the shell is a rust bucket.
My time line for this project is one year. Mostly financial restriction and i want to take my time and enjoy the build.
With the 13x7's i run a 3.5 diff and its mint! However thats with a pinto motor that is more torque than revs. If your engine is going to be a screamer you may want the smaller wheels? they clear most 4 pot calipers.
What is your stud pattern now? you could re stud your hubs to 114 x 4 or similar common OS RWD pattern.
Have not touched the diff will shorten it last once i have mags and the arches fitted which is a while away as im custom making some 3 piece mesh wheels to get some sweet dish.
Hey, ive got the engine mounts done, tunnel is in but havnt cut old one out yet, diff is almost in, need U bolts. rear brakes are done, massive things they are. Got a drive shaft, its only a one peice so its a temp shaft! trying to find wheels that fit....no luck yet.
drop tank is getting made either tomorrow or thursday.
HOPEFULLY it gets done in time.
And to the guy that was having a winge that there will be hot spots in the engine..... have you not heard of a Kia Sportage???? they run the water out the front.
LOWNSLOW, what r those wheels off?
they look like they have the right offset..!
and the Zepher hubs are the go, but they are extremly hard to find.
if you come across any let me know so i can get some, thanks.

Hey Escortina, interested in your tuning strategy with the throttlebodies: speed density, alpha-n or a hybrid of the 2? (pretty sure motec has that capability) Also, what kind of gains did you get from the standoff injectors? Ive considered it myself, and although not the best (safest? ) for a street engine, Im still curious. your hp #'s have been my target from the beginning, would like to know how you got there!
Thanks To Fred for setting up this thread, had no clue how to so yeah
Umm, we now run outer injectors mounted to the air box, not running inners at all, at idle it actually picks up 125rpm by running the outers!
it also picked up the power by about 5-10 hp everywhere.
the atomisation is just a shit load better.
I am building my FE with a turbo eventually, aiming for around 380-400 RW/HP, which should be more than enough for a little escort.
If your after a complete engine, we can build and ship to you.
we've done loads of work to them and have all the problems sorted out now.
Just want to point out that if you have an air fuel mix in volume like that you MUST not run wasted spark ignition. COP or dizzy are the only safe ways.
Also, good of you to change from "yager can do xyz" to "we can do xyz" ;-)
Damn, where were you 7 years ago? haha... Sweet deal with the injectors, might have to try it myself later in the year after a baseline dyno. I dont necessarily need a whole engine but if you can tell me what you have done valvetrain/head wise, I might be interested in something along those lines. In any case, well done man!
Ive Finally cut out the old tunnel.
making gearbox mount tomorro.
then all that is left is engine and front brakes/suspension.
my coil packs arived today so the engine will look nice n tiddy.
sweet ride bro i'm also building a mazda fe3 rear wheel drive only thing is i'm turbo charging it
dont have any pics at the moment but as soon as do i'll post a few
3 question what diff you running Eg lock diff o limited slip o and what diff is it what car it came off

Hey mate, im running a box off an easly ford courier ute, 82-84 i think " one with FE block".
hilux diff
Nice, i am also turbo charging mine later on, main goal is to get the fucker running, not looking good, all the little fiddly bits are taking WAYYYYY to long.
I have a mate of a mate who has some for 200NZ$'s, (the hubs) if your keen i can flick his details onto you.
The wheels are just 13x7 performance superlites of the shelf for a RWD car.
I have a friend who has just imported some 13 x 8's for his Anglia race car you may also be interested in, i will get more details of him next time i see him.
are you having a hydraulic clutch or cable?
I started fitting a cable one last night, but im a little uncertin if i should go to a bit more effort and fit hydraulic.
am running hydrolic, using an underdash one, very simple to do.
