ok heres my problem i have a 93 mx6 with a k & n intake and a borla catback, the car sounds very very bad, i have a light exhaust leak but the pipe itself is very quiet, i was thinking of even buying a keep universal exhaust from the store i work at (advance auto parts ) and putting that on, but does anyone have any ideas of why it sounds almost completely stock, ive heard other borlas on mx6ers and they sound great i will load a link with video of it on request if i dont get to it soon, someone please help me, thanks a ton

The borla exhaust is great because it is quiet compared to other brands, until you are at wide open throttle. I know what you're talking about though. Mine was a little quiet for my taste at first but once I got used to it I realized that it's a very original sound that no other car has. If you want to sound like a honda, buy a honda.

I would suggest some headers or a high flow catalytic converter to open the exhaust up more. That would make it deeper sounding and louder.

This was before my new motor. I had a cold air intake, headers, a high flow catalytic converter, and the borla system.

After the new motor. Same mods as above with larger cams and lower compression pistons.

I'll see if I can get a better exhaust video tomorrow. It's running better since those were taken.

made sure every thing was sung and tight on it? i had that porblem with my TSI my pipe going back from the headers (becuse i ran no cats) wasnt conected tightly. btw my old exhaust system was the ultamate fart canion i loved it haha.
ive decided on a mr gasket exhaust cutoff valve, i think it will be diffrent and fun
