I know this not the right place to be posting this being its a Chevy, but maybe you guys can help. Iam helping my friend on installing a Pioneer deck in his 92 lumina, we never disconnected the battery and there was a spark when we were checking to see if it was the right harness, it was. We hooked up the cd player and nothing came on. we hooked up the facotry one again and no was displayed on the screen. THe am and fm didnt work, but the tape player did and whats really weird there was a weather band or something playing. We checked all the fuses in the fuse box and all were ok. Also on the pioneer deck there were two black wires coming out, are they both ground or what. THanks:confused:

First off - ALWAYS disconnect the battery, or at LEAST pull the radio fuse(s)!!!

Secondly - the extra few bucks for the aftermarket harness makes life SO much easier. Remember that next time, -k-?

On topic - hard to say. If the fuses look good, and nothing seems to work, it's hit or miss. Basicly, check for consant and switched 12v at the wires in the dash, and for good ground. If all that is good, something's wrong with the deck. If you don't have one or the other, start checking power at teh fuses (both sides). We'll take it from there....
