I was wondering when you do the T-Bird Hybrid, and your going to buy a rebuild kit. Do you still use the Mazda compressor wheel seal? Or do you need one for the T-Bird? Also what are the codes for the Mazda IHI and the codes for a T-Bird IHI? Meaning RHB-5? Wondering whats what... Thanks for looking.

Both turbos use an IHI RHB-5 center section . The compressor sides use different housings and wheels. MX6 uses a VJ11. T-Bird is a VJ17.
For a rebuild kit, all you need to do is get a kit for the RHB-5. Turbo City sells them I believe. Not sure of cost, I think it's around $125.

I got my rebuild kit for about $120 shipped. Good luck on it, email me for any tips or pointers on that one.

What compressor wheel seal do you mean?

basically, all you need from the turbo of a t-bird is the compressor wheel, and housing. No seals or anything. All that stuff stays the same.

Thansk guys. I had it all done for me already. Brought my stock Turbo and T-bird wheel to Waynes Performance Engineering and had him machine my stock housing to fit the T-bird wheel. He also got me a rebuild kit and rebuilt the turbo for me. I had him solder my chip in the ECU and get a broken stud out of my manifold and it cost me $404.46. I didnt think it was too bad. Great guy He's located in Danbury, CT. PM me if anyone wants his number or anything, if you guys need something done.

yes it will. That is what i have done. Instead of using the compressor wheel and housing, i got the whole center section because my shaft was gone on the stocker. It works fine, just had to get a custom end for the oil feed line. Its starting to leak a little not sure why.

you just answered your own question. The oilline is metric, and although some fitting might SEEM to fit you have to take into account thread pitches as well as the standard or metric issue. You can use the T Bird center section but it best not to, for obvious reasons. Just use your RHB center, you also have to drill two holes in the bracket that holds the wastegate. if you put your T bird housing on the RHB center, you'll see where you obviously have to twist it to fit
