Does anyone know if there is some sort of replacable filter for our HVAC system? When I lived in CA, I had to park under a tree all the time. At night the wind would blow and all these tiny leaves would fall into my cowl....then when I started up my car in the morning the leaves would blow out my vents into my face. Kinda funny, but annoying. I know lots of new cars have a pollen filter that you replace every so often. Do our cars have some kinda filter like that somewhere?

I was just wondering the same thing today! I looked in my shop manual, and couldn't find any metnion of a filter. Perhaps I was just looking in the wrong place though...

Hey, which part of CA did you live in? I'm in Monterey.

There isn't any filter in our HVAC systems. If you remove the metal piece that goes across the bottom of the windshield you can see directly into the heater fan. You could probably easily install a screen in there to keep the leaves out of the car.
