Hi,

It's been a long time since I've been on these forums so I'm not sure if there is many people still active but thought I would say hello and just keep some notes as I sort out the Mazda.

I've had a 1G with a bit of gear in it sitting in a shed for a year or so and just decided to put it back on the road. I had a solid 180sx (now sold) and now a WRX (will be selling once the 1G is running), because of them I forgot about my poor Mazda.

Here's a few bad pics I took before -

Everything needs a good clean. :(

Last time I fired it up fuel was pissing out above the turbo between the adapter plate and manifold, but was still running. At the time I though the injectors were stuffed and just left it as I had a couple of other cars and a work car.

Hope to see some people drop in here and say hi, I remember a lot of guys on here with some crazy setups and heaps of good info.

Posting these next pics because I found them on an my photobucket and don't want to lose them. My first car - 86 626 with some full bodykit. (never could find who made the kit). The F2T was originally going to go in this 626.

Maybe the Malpassi FPR had died and was blasting too much through the injectors(originals), could that of caused fuel to be able to get through to the manifold?

So I tried bypassing the FPR before, put some fresh fuel in and went to fire it for the first time since I had the fuel from manifold problem. Starter motor is working fine, but wouldn't start.
Maybe not enough fuel pressure now that I bypassed the Malpassi FPR?(can't remember this stuff, it's been too long)

No warning light on the Microtech(LT10s with the separate ignition amplifier). Found the dongle for the laptop, will hook it up tomorrow.

Noticed a relay is missing??? The terminals are sitting there and i can see the clip where it was mounted
Starting to think it's for the coils, can tell the wiring for the relay was added when the Microtech and Bosch coils went in as it's fresh and in separate looms.

Trying a relay in the morning

Missing relay was for the bigger fuel pump I forgot I put in, still don't know why it was missing. Engine now cranks over but won't idle. Connected laptop to Microtech and all looks fine.

Took the plugs out and tips were wet, definitely too much fuel getting smashed through. Will track down a new rising rate fpr and try.

what turbo is on that? looks like an rb turbo possibly? did you relocate the battery for the airfilter? And also how does the intercooler fit with the front bumper on? im guessing the ac fan is not there anymore?

Welcome back Jay. Sounds like you have a little bit of work to do on the old girl.

Looking at the turbo I'd say it is a T28. I like the U13/GTi-R dump pipe.
