What type of bulb is used in the fog lights for our sixs'?
and can we replace them with brighter high intesity bulbs?

Are 9004's the same as H3's?

The reason I ask is because when I head to the store I see that there are bulbs that are labeled H2 and H4, but when it comes to H3 I can't find any. The only other kind that I come across are 9004's

9004 are for the headlights. They are a totally different bulb than the H3. Walmart, Autozone and other auto parts places should have both in stock.

Someone who has replaced the fog light bulbs please help out.

I removed the fog light assembly but can't get access to the bulb inside. The triangle plate with the wire running into the center has three phillips screws but they will not back out. It's like the receiving threads (plastic?) are stripped. I can probably pull & twist them out with vice-grips, but the plate itself does not seem loose at all. Am I on the right track to replace the bulbs? Will that plate come off after I back out the screws, and is it supposed to be a tight fit to prevent moisture from getting in?

BTW, i followed someone's advice and got 85W H3 bulbs from PIAA. Can't wait to see the difference.
