Foglight Install ?

So I got a set of foglights and a switch from the junkyard for my standard 1993 MX6 mystere. First of all, the connectors on the foghlights and the connectors on the wire behind the bumper do not match up. I hooked up the socket behind the dash to the foglight switch, pressed the switch on, touched the wires to the foglight, and nothing. Reversed the wires, still nothing. Touched both foglights directly to the battery and they both work. I checked for conductivity on the socket behind the dash and also on the wires behind the bumper and they both have something flowing. I couldn't find the driver's side wires and plug for the foglight behind the bumper. I even tried turning the headlights on first, then hooking up a foglight and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

This dude wired them directly to the battery, I already got my headlights running off the battery. Why would there be a plug behind the dash if the only way I can use the foglights is straight off the battery?
Okay you guys are of absolutely no help. Common now, HOW DO YOU INSTALL FOGLIGHTS IN A CAR THAT DIDN'T COME WITH FOGLIGHTS BUT HAS THE WIRES AND SOCKET BEHIND THE DASH?
They should just plug into the connectors under both headlights behind the bumper. I'm pretty sure the connectors remained the same throughout the model years. I'm not sure if the switch wiring is there on cars that didn't have fogs to begin with though.
Well there is an extra 4 prong socket behind the blank button on the dash... But I was only able to find one 2 prong connector behind the bumper, on the passanger side, and it didn't match up with the one on the foglight. any ideas?
Do you have a camera to take pictures? I know that dustbin installed fogs on his. I believe he wired them into the corner or sidemarker lights. You could send him a PM.
